REVIEW - SEVEN DATES, THREE AUNTS, AND A TOOTH FAIRY by Ginger Maddox

Julie was without a job and ignoring her aunts' calls. Everyone in the marketing department was called into the conference room and told that the department was being restructured and everyone except the head of the department was being let go.

Restructuring... what they meant was A.I. was their new structure. If that wasn't depressing enough, her rent was doubling in two months. Inflation is their reason, and losing her job didn't matter to them.

Forty-eight and looking for a job when everyone was choosing A.I. as a cheaper, faster option, and without benefits. Despite her years of experience she is getting no call backs and cuddled up with ice cream is the most excitement in her life.

After her Aunt Helen texts her with threats of calling the police for a wellness check, she finally answers their call. Her mother's sisters, Helen, Edith and Fern, were all the family she had and she knew they meant well.

When they said they had the perfect solution until she got back on her feet, she packed up her bags and spent the day driving to the small town of Denture. She and her mom used to visit every summer and she loved her crazy aunts, but since her mother's death to cancer, she hasn't visited much to her aunts' disappointment.

The huge wooden dentures welcomed her to town along with her meddling aunts. Determined that she meet people, they set her up with seven dates. It was their non-negotiable terms for staying. Terms they neglected to tell her until she had already packed up and moved to Denture.

She agreed to the dates on the condition that they never do anything like that again and that they were scheduled over the next seven nights, back to back.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book has its own HEA but this series is intended to be read in order as the characters are recurring and you will get a better feel for the small town of Denture.

Seven dates, what could go wrong? Especially set up by three interfering geriatric aunts? Julie insists that all the dates take place at the local restaurant/bowling alley where the owner, Sam, and the bartender Karmin, getting front row seats to one bad date after another.

This complete series will keep you laughing, especially the antics of Helen, Edith and Fern. And you have to love Norman, who thinks he is human. I laughed so hard as each date was impossibly worse than the last.

This book is action-packed, and full of laughter. This is a later-in-life romance in a small town where everyone knows your business and it spreads fast in a town that lives on gossip. Highly recommend.
