Tessa had moved to Crystal Creek two years ago for a change. Moving to the small town in Alaska was refreshing and she loved working at Betty's Cafe and talking to the locals. She especially liked the gorgeous man who came in every morning for a cup of black coffee as he read the paper.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this book has its own HEA, this series is intended to be read in order. The stories revolve around the members of the Kings of Anarchy MC, how they arrived in Alaska and each story shows you more of the monsters that live within.
Tessa has unknowingly inherited the role of warden of a seal that has imprisoned an ancient being. But the seal is starting to crack and it is determined that she die to break the pact that had imprisoned it.
Vex has spent the last two years watching over Tessa. But he always keeps his distance because he knows what happens if he gets too close. He refuses to let him monster kill another woman he loves.
This book is action-packed and full of danger as an ancient being tries to use Tessa's mark as a gateway to destroy everything and everyone around her. This book is explosively steamy hot when Vex finally lets go.
If you love dark MC romance with a paranormal twist, you will absolutely love these characters. So far we have a Kodiak bear shifter as president of the Kings of Anarchy MC and the VP is a vampire. Won't give a tease about the other member's secrets, but can't wait to read the rest of this series! Highly recommend!
