Lola has been living in hell for the last five years. Havoc had left for a meeting with the president of his MC club. Khan told her the only option she had was to become Driller's woman. When she refused and told Driller she was pregnant, she found herself being assaulted sexually and her stomach being punched and kicked killing the baby inside her.
Hannibal accepted Havoc's offer for him to take over Khan's position as president in the Ohio Chapter of the Raven's Soul MC. Havoc was now the president of the mother chapter and was determined that Khan and Driller had to go. He agreed with the terms that Lola become his old lady. For her protection and as a female to look after his fourteen-year-old daughter. When her mother died from an inoperable tumor, he was her only option besides foster care.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This series is meant to be read in order, but you must at least read The Good Girl first, as Havoc and Lola's stories run parallel to each other.
Lola had the threats of something accidentally happening to Havoc in prison to keep her living a life of hell. Her only ray of hope that he would save her when he was released from prison. That hope died when he got out of prison and him looking at her with disdain.
Hannibal found himself meeting his daughter when she turned fourteen and despite his wishes to keep her away from his life, he was now her only living family.
This book is action-packed and a woman who you hated for her treatment of Havoc, you are finding was a victim being tortured by a jealous brother and a club that treated her like trash. Being told that she was going to be the new chapter president's woman made her furious at the further injustices of her life.
There are two sides to a coin and Havoc and Lola's stories show you how betrayal and misbeliefs can change two lives. This book is brutal, so make sure you check out the trigger warnings. This book hits all the feels so be prepared. If you like dark MC romance, you will love Lola and Hannibal's HEA. Highly recommend.
