REVIEW - BRIDGE OF LIES by Nana Malone

Bridge was taught that guilt was a useless emotion so why was he feeling guilty?  Emma had made her choice when she betrayed him working with his father.  He had put her in protective custody...kidnapped her.  He was determined to punish her for her betrayal, but also protect her from Middleton.

Emma was pissed.  She knew she had made a mistake, but Bridge wouldn't even listen to why she had met with his father.  She was determined that he and his friends let her help in proving Middleton was responsible for the death of her brother and if they wouldn't she would do it herself.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and all the characters that you loved from book one are back and the girl crew are determined to help Emma.  This is the second book in the SPEAK NO EVIL trilogy and is just as action-packed as book one.

They are getting no closer to their answers and feel they are putting Emma in deeper danger, but Emma has a knack for doing before thinking which leads to a major cliffhanger.  I love how close Emma is becoming to the girls in the group.  A family that she is craving after the death of her brother.

Bridge has high walls of distrust because of his father, especially after finding out his first wife had been a plant, but he is losing his fight to keep his distance emotionally from Emma.  Emma is determined to push every button she can to get Bridge's attention so he realizes she isn't a child and wants to be a partner in not only their relationship, but the search for answers.

This book is full of intrigue, danger and suspense.  The chemistry between Bridge and Emma is smoldering hot.  This story ends with a major cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the conclusion to their story.

I highly recommend this book and anything Nana Malone!
