REVIEW - CYN'S AWAKENING by Payne Craven

Cyanide's band Cyanide and Sin was just approached to contact Lazaras, the owner of the exclusive club in Limbo Isles called The Liquor Kitty Club, to be their permanent musical entertainment.  Cyanide had been looking for just this type of offer so she and her best friend and bassist, Slade, went to fire their subpar drummer and keyboardist and headed to the cemetery for their travels below.

Cyanide was part banshee and part bird siren with a voice that mesmerized audiences.  When they demanded encore upon encore her banshee came out to clear the auditoriums.  She had grown up in an orphanage where the nuns were cruel and called her the devil's spawn even going so far as to hide her away on adoption days so when her banshee comes out people leave as fast as they can away from her.

When she, Slade and her three-headed dog, Wulf, arrives she finds it fitting that they landed in a mausoleum in the underworld.  As they are led to the hotel Cyanide notices that all of the men are gorgeous, not an ugly one in sight.  Too bad she has a no relationship policy so she can concentrate on her band.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and totally relatable.  This is book one of the Cyanide and Sin trilogy and ends with a shocking and unexpected cliffhanger.

Cyanide is brash and flirtatious.  Although she knew that some monsters were gifted with multiple mates, she never expected to be one of them.  But, then she meets Nox, Lazarus, Tyzaq and Nerina...and...

This is a paranormal shifter menage romance full of mythical creatures, monsters and gods.  This is my first time reading Payne Craven and I couldn't put the book down.  She brought all of these monsters to life for me in both their human and monster states.  I look forward to seeing what's in store for Cyn in the remainder of this series.

I highly recommend!
