CJ, Alex and Mia are on their way to the hospital after CJ received a call from the nursing staff that Kas had been in a serious car accident. When they finally get to speak with the doctor they find out that Kas was lucky to be alive and thankfully he hadn't been at full speed when his out-of-control car had crashed after his brake lines had been cut.
Because of his injuries he had been put into a medically induced coma to help with healing. When he finally awakes weeks later the first words out of his mouth is 'what is she doing her'? He didn't remember Mia and what they had. Besides knowing that she was a stripper sleeping with both of his best friends he didn't know anything about her besides he wanted her far away from him.
Forget the cliffhanger we were left with in Tempting Distractions! CJ hits us with a fricking sadistic twist in the first paragraphs of this book and it is massively dark and twisted. Just WOW! His character just took on way more depth.
This is book two of the trilogy and I am speechless. The book begins immediately from book one where we read in horror as Kas realizes that he has no brakes and is getting ready to crash on the highway. All he can do is hope that he misses the other cars on the road as he comes upon them at close to 70 mph.
This book is full of action, danger, intrigue, suspense with massive twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages. Kas's memory loss adds tons of angst to this already suspense-filled story. This book ends with a huge twist and another massive cliffhanger. But, this is a cliffhanger I can live with. I can't wait to see what happens next in this awesome story!!!
