Elora made a bargain with Prince Brannock to help him win and become High King. When she realized that her bargain would keep her away from her sisters until the end of the competition, she re-bargains with Prince Brannock.
Scared for her sisters she demands that he return her to her sisters in order to supply them with the fine clothes and jewels given to her. She refuses to help him further until she is satisfied her sisters will be safe and not starve.
During phase one of the competition, Elora plays the harp for the dying High King. When Prince Brannock realizes the danger he has put her in by showing every court her talent, he tells her if anyone asks that she is his pet so that no one can try to steal her away from him.
A kiss changed everything. Prince Brannock had made a bargain with Queen Allesandra to never kiss another with romantic feelings and almost disappeared when Elora fake kissed him at the phase one event to keep another fae from claiming her as his pet. Now he was cold and kept his distance in order to not touch her.
This is the continuing story of Elora and Prince Brannock. It is very well written and all of the characters are amazing. You are immediately drawn into this world of fantasy as Elora fights at Prince Brannock's side to help him win the position of High King. The longer Elora is in Fae the more she doesn't want to return to the mortal world.
Highly recommend this series!
