REVIEW - YOU DIDN'T KNOW ME THEN by Lily Baines

Hope was sitting on a barstool at the wedding of her best friend's boyfriend's sister and trying unsuccessfully to flirt with the bartender.  A single mother of two daughters wasn't good at flirting before her marriage and she couldn't seem to stop the word vomit coming out of her mouth as she tried to give the bartender a chemistry lesson in mixing drinks.

Jordan was a political advisor who was home for his sister's wedding.  It couldn't have come at a more convenient time as he needed to get out of D.C. and a prospective catastrophe for a ten-minute mistake.  He is sitting at the bar waiting for the ceremony to begin and is amused at the woman who is obviously making her embarrassment worse the more she speaks.  He finds her refreshing after spending fifteen years around politicians.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.  I love Hope.  A science teacher who two year's after her divorce has decided to get back into the dating scene.  Only the one man she is really interested in is way out of her depth both in looks and experience.

Jordan is a gorgeous man who has become cynical after spending so much time in the Capitol advising his clients on how to spin their issues and even though he knows he has no business touching someone with no artifice, he can't stay away.

This book grabs your attention from page one and you have to laugh at Hope's unfortunate dates.  I love the relationships with their family and friends.  Naomi and Hannah are too cute!  This book is steamy hot and has all the feels.  Highly recommend!   This is the first time I have read anything by Lily Baines and look forward to reading more in the future!
