Aurora knew there was something wrong as soon as she woke up. She closed her eyes against the bright lights in hopes of keeping the nausea away but was having a hard time taking a breath. When she reached down to her stomach she was confused by the stiffness she felt since the gown she had been wearing was the softest of silks.
Getting out of bed and tripping over the folds of the gown she stumbled to Roman's dressing room and looked in the mirror in total shock. She was staring at herself wearing a Victorian wedding gown. She had never seen this gown before and to make it worse it was splattered in blood.
How did she get in this dress? Why couldn't she remember anything? And where was Roman? What had she done?
Roman had never asked her to move in with him. He just took away all of her options and trying to run away had only ended in disaster. But, staring at her piano, the one possession she cared for most in the world that he had delivered from her parent's house, she knew all her choices were gone.
She was his obsession. He wanted her to love him, crave him and need him, but he refused to love her back. She was his possession, nothing more.
I absolutely loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. The limits that Roman has gone to to make Aurora his are truly diabolical and as much as Aurora hates to admit she craves his sadistic ways.
This line in the book totally describes Roman..."The one who was jealous and over-the-top possessive in the way that made a girl feel wanted and treasured in a macabre, bloodthirsty way."
Zoe Blake drew me into this story and I didn't want to leave. I would love to see the converted old Gothic church that he converted into a mansion. The ending is totally hilarious.
This book is action-packed from word one and smoking hot. Zoe Blake takes you on a rollercoaster ride with surprising twists and I couldn't put my Kindle down. Highly recommend!
