Pure Sin Trilogy
What is the sub-genre and trope?
Romantic Suspense
Did your characters lead you to this genre or was that decided before the story began?
The stories just developed. I didn’t have a prerequisite for them. I allowed the characters to tell their own story.
Are you more character or plot driven?
I have a balance between the two.
With many main and secondary characters, how do you keep them separated in your mind?
Each of the characters have their own personality, quirks, and how they handle life. It’s easy to keep them separate.
Do you have a story/vision board above your workspace?
No, but I do have a journal that I develop my characters in.
I know from previous interviews that characters take on a life of their own. Were any of the characters in this series determined to take their own direction instead of where you initially wanted them to go?
Not at all. They’ve all gone the way that I envisioned them.
Are any of the male POVs based on anyone you know?
Some of the characteristics in all the men are based on my husband.
Are any of the female POVs based on anyone you know?
Parts of my life and then a couple of my friend’s attitude, sass, etc are engrained in the stories.
Was there any one character/scene that was harder to write about than the other?
Yes. Love Displayed, the second book in the trilogy, has a sexual assault scene based on my own assault and survival.
What is your favorite book in the series?
Love Displayed
I know that we aren’t supposed to have “favorites” as far as our children, but seriously, who’s your favorite character and why?
April from Love Displayed. She’s a fighter and a survivor. She also allowed herself to experience love when she knew it was authentic.
Series question - Who is your favorite couple and why did you decide on their dynamics?
Chassity, Lance, and Giovanni.
The scenes with these three characters are explosive. Pure imagination on my part. There had to be something jarring for Lance to realize his feelings for Chassity.
How do you get inside these characters’ heads to find their perfect HEA?
I took their plot and imagined what their HEA would look like considering what they all overcame.
What scene in this book/series sticks out the most for you? Why?
When April encounters her attacker and how she triumphed in the end.
Most people victimize victims and they’ve already been victimized with what happened to them. There is so much strength in survival and most victims of an assault would like the conversation to transition to. The survival instead of the assault.
Series - Were any of the books harder to write than others?
Love Shared. I’ve never had a threesome so I had to dig deep, but it turned out phenomenal.
This question is if you write in MULTIPLE POVs not just the hero and heroine - I love the multiple POVs in a book. It’s not just the hero and heroine, but we get inside the heads of multiple characters throughout this series. I feel that it gives the story further depth. Do you think you will write another book or series following this multiple POV outline?
Most of my books do that. I have other characters that have an impact on the storyline, so I have to give them words.
How long did it take you to write this book/series?
I finished the trilogy in about 2 years.
How did you come up with the title for your book and series?
Each title is based on the plot of each book.
If you met these characters in real life would you get along?
Absolutely
Series question – Did you know in advance that you were going to write this as a series or did one of the characters in book one demand their own story?
I’ve always none it would be a trilogy. That’s how I planned it.
If your book/series were made into a movie, which actors do you see as playing your characters?
Zendaya as Crystal
Bella Thorne as April
Marsai Martin as Chassity
Can you give us a hint as to what we can expect next? Whether a new book and series or a sequel to an existing series? Can you share a small tease?
This trilogy is complete, but I have developed The World of Rebel Souls and it’s an MC World. My first book in the world is called Rebel Vengeance.
Excerpt: **Gideon **
Stopping just before she reaches the top stair, she turns and asks,
“Why are you following me?”
“You know why I’m following you. Don’t pretend you don’t feel what I’m feeling between us.”
“Look. Last night was a mistake. I was vulnerable with everything happening and I wasn’t thinking clearly. It won’t happen again.”
“Is that right?”
Folding her arms across her chest, she answers,
“Yeah. That’s right.”
“Okay. Let’s test your little theory.”
“What are you ..”
Before she can get the last word out, I invade her space. With her arms trapped between our bodies, I grab the rail on either side of her and pin her to the stair wall. With one of her legs on the next stair, I’m able to hold her in place where she can’t move. She gasps as I grind my dick into her center, relieving some of the ache I’ve had since our little encounter downstairs. She turns her head to the side right before I reach her mouth. My lips, instead, graze the side. Laughing, I say,
“Oh my little wolf is trying her best to resist me, not realizing she’s offering me her neck in surrender. Even better.”

I've enjoyed books for as long as I can remember. Reading allows you to expand your mind and make you say, what if? Four years ago, I became a part of the Book World as a Blogger and The Erotic Book Review was born.
I love reading and listening to all genres, but I'm very drawn to Romance on the kinky side of things. I believe pursuing your passion brings out your creativity and allows endless possibilities to come forth. Taking a reader on a journey that forces them to crossover into your world is magic. My love for stories has inspired me to write and share my words. I hope readers enjoy them as much as I loved creating them.
I live in North Georgia and I've been married to the love of my life for 30 years. We're parents of 5 adults and we have 9 grandchildren. We drive a Big Rig for a living and travel the entire US. When I'm not driving, I love writing and reading. I love meeting new people and enjoy learning about other cultures. I love watching football and binge watching TV shows.
One quote I live by...
"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending”.
Jackson Barnes needs a fresh start. Back on the job after a leave of absence, his focus is on his new undercover assignment at the new club, Pure Sin. He has sworn off love after his latest breakup until the perfect woman falls at his feet.
