REVIEW - IGNITE MY FIRE by Melony Ann

Exactly one year ago Daniel came into Lila's life and turned it upside down. He was like her very own Prince Charming sweeping her off her feet over and over again. She was living the modern-day fairytale.

She grabs the pizza she ordered especially for this occasion only to find him and some blonde bimbo on the couch. She is too upset to drive and pulls into the firehouse hoping Keelan is on shift, but realizes it's not her brother's crew washing the firetruck.

Blake has tried his best to avoid Lily the last few years which was a near impossibility since she was his best friend's younger sister. He had just returned from a fireman's convention and enjoying a beer at the local bar near the firehouse when his friends arrived.

As Lily takes the stage to sing, they catch him up on what happened between Daniel and Lila. Lila is a local celebrity having the voice of an angel just waiting for someone to hear her demo and offer her a record deal.

Their rage calms down when they realize that Lila is taking care of the situation by herself. Instead of the usual karaoke announcement, the MC just gives her a nod and starts the music...the stage lighting up like a concert. When she starts singing everyone knows that Daniel is the one she is singing to...

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Lila's story came more to life for me as I played the songs she was singing as I read the book. Talk about powerful!

This is a small-town romance filled with sexy firemen, action and suspense. Lila and Blake both fight their feelings for each other neither wanting to put a wedge in their relationship with Keelan, but when they decide to go for it danger finds Lila as she finally gets to follow her dreams.

Highly recommend this book! Can't wait to read the rest of this series.
