REVIEW - CRUEL LIES by Lilian Harris

Nicolette has been on the run for the last year after witnessing her sister's murder. She left a message for her parents that she needed some time alone and wasn't surprised that they hadn't tried to contact her once since she left. After all, they have never cared about anything except for her older sister, Bianca. She wonders what they would think if they knew what their precious Bianca had truly been up to.

I loved this book! Nicolette is the younger sister of Raph's deceased wife, Bianca, and he has always had a soft spot for her, but when she professed her love when she was seventeen he had to distance himself. Not only was she way too young, but she was his wife's sister, but when he is forced into hiding to protect her he doesn't know how much longer he can fight his feelings for her.

This book is action-packed from start to finish. It is full of danger and suspense as Nicolette and Raph both try to hide from Raph's father Giancarlo who wants the dead. This book is full of twisted secrets and major surprises. Even though this book can be read as a standalone, I would suggest that you start this series from the beginning to get a full understanding of this family and its secrets.

This series just keeps getting better. This is an age-gap, deceased wife's sister taboo romance. Can't wait to find out what this author has in store for Gio. Highly recommend!
