REVIEW - SAVAGE WOUNDS by Lilian Harris

Kayla's fists are hitting the punching bag as if it is the face of the men who tortured her. Too many faces... too many men, but she wants to kill them all. She had been tortured and abused as a sex slave for over nine years after she and her two best friends had been kidnapped by the Bianchi brothers of the Palermo crime family.

She may have been rescued but she can't escape the nightmares. So she trains to defend herself to never be a victim again. Therapy hasn't helped because she can't put voice to the terrors she has lived through. The only thing that makes her feel free is her work. Her parents would be horrified to know that she was a stripper, but knowing the men can watch but can never touch her makes her feel in control.

Kayla is leaving the strip club to see the man who had been thrown out for trying to touch her attacking one of the other dancers. It was only when a man interferes that the man runs away. A man with a hoodie and a mask over his face.

She had every intention of going home after making sure her friend was okay but when she was leaving the building leaving her friend to be cared for she sees her attacker getting in his car... and she follows him home. And all of her rage is rained down on him until he is no longer breathing. But she didn't realize she had a stalker who witnessed the whole thing.

I loved this book. I loved this series!!! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. We met Kayla in the first book in this series as she and her best friend Elsie are struggling to survive while being tortured by the Bianchi brothers.

If you haven't read this series from the start you can't truly understand how much Kayla's character has grown. How her dreams of killing her torturers fills her mind and even with everything she has gone through her dark desires center around two different men.

This book will make you laugh and I definitely cried. Savage Wounds... a perfect title for what these characters have survived. This book is full of betrayals, lies and several 'I didn't see that coming' twists. Major twists that had me turning back the pages to see what I missed type of twists.

Vengeance is a dish best served cold... There are just some many things I want to say about this book, but there are too many spoiler options so all I will say is that Lilian Harris pulled out all the stops in this story. Think "Dexter" and it won't even come close to this dark twisted romance. Highly recommend and perfect perfect ending to this series!
