Curious as to why she is interested in Carl he lets him win and follows them to the penthouse suite determined to kill Carl before he can harm the woman, but when he uses the keycard he obtained from the body of the bodyguard he is shocked at what he sees.

A year later he is standing in shock... he can't believe that fate could be so cruel. He finally finds her and she is more out of reach than ever.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable! Even though this book has its own HEA I suggest that you read this series from book one as the characters are recurring and you will get further insight into the Marino brothers and all of connecting pieces.
Wow! This book is action-packed, full of betrayal, torture and smoking hot. For those with trigger warnings beware because Iseult has possibly a more horrifying story than Elsie. Complicated doesn't even start to describe their relationship and the betrayals within these pages are not only shocking but heartbreaking.
I love Sophia who has these dangerous men wrapped around her tiny fingers. To be a fly on the wall as she works her magic on with a makeup brush and lipstick.
Each of the books in the series has a peek into the next story and although this book has its own HEA it leaves us with a HUGE cliffhanger with a major twist in this series. Lilian Harris is definitely on my one-click list and I can't wait to finish this series!
If you enjoy books on the dark side that feature morally gray men, torture and other crimes including human trafficking I can't recommend this author enough. But beware these books are not for the faint hearted or anyone who has trigger issues.
