Veronica was sitting on the floor with her best friend Harmony and the gossip girls. That's what they called Bianca, Porsha and Juniper, the bullies of their group. And they were relishing their chance to embarrass Veronica when the open mouth of the bottle landed on her. She was fifteen and it would be her first kiss. Jacob was Harmony's cousin and she has had a crush on him for years.
But just as the moment was starting to get interesting and her first kiss was just a breath away Harmony yanked the closet door open telling Veronica they needed to leave because her house was on fire.
When they arrived all Veronica could do was watch in shock and tears as her home burned to the ground. But it was so much worse than that for her since this isn't the first time her home has burned and all her possessions went up in smoke.
Harmony called her brimming with excitement about her Valentine's Day wedding to Gray, the teacher she had gotten fired at from the New York finishing school. In a twist of fate when she escaped New York and arrived at Rawhide Ranch in Montana she was shocked he was again her teacher and wasn't putting up with her bratty attitude any longer.
Veronica was excited for her friend, she truly was, but she is horrified when Harmony tells her she wants her for her Maid of Honor. How could she leave her apartment in New York to travel to Montana? She lived in constant fear of leaving her home... literally making a prisoner of herself to avoid another fire that could take everything from her.
I loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Veronica will keep you laughing throughout this Dd/lg romance. A Valentine's wedding, a monkey named Bananas and the perfect Daddy to make her feel safe again.
Unlike her previous series which were more Daddy Dom and women who loved being a brat, these brats lean more toward wanting to live their younger years and giving over full control to their Daddies as they enjoy their stuffies, bathtime and purging spankings.
If you aren't familiar with the Dd/lg kink and domestic discipline be warned that this book may be triggering at times. Veronica has always had fantasies about being spanked and having a Daddy and who better than her childhood crush Jacob?
