REVIEW - RESCUING OUR BRIDE by Darcy Rose

Anna is standing before the priest with tears rolling down her face. Her soon-to-be husband Patrick probably revelling in her tears and wanting nothing more than to cause her more.

Her father had sold her in marriage to ensure her mother's medical bills were covered. Her cancer is no longer in remission and she was her father's only hope. So she is here with a man twice her age, three times and with an evil glint in his eyes as he whispers vile promises in her ear.

Just as the priest starts the ceremony the doors burst open with two masked gunman yelling that no one moves as one throws her over his shoulder and they leave as quickly as they had arrived.

She was excited to not be marrying Patrick... but she was just kidnapped by strangers.

This is a very short story that gets hot quickly. This book has a bit of non-con, but it doesn't take much for Anna to consent to her imprisonment. Even with it being a short story there is a lot of information and danger, but I think it would have been an amazing story if it could have been a longer novel.

Those who enjoy Darcy Rose's dark romances will love this story.
