REVIEW - THE EXTRA by Megan Walker & Janci Patterson

Gabby is at lunch with her best friend and roommate Anne-Marie who is celebrating getting hired as actress on the soap opera Passion Medical while she just got fired from her wanna be boutique job.  Then Anne-Marie tells her that two of the shows "nurses" were fired that morning and Gabby should apply to be an extra.

Gabby's sister has a PhD in chemical engineering, her brother had an immediate acceptance to Juilliard, her mother was realtor to the stars and her father was the lead accountant for major film production company.  And then there is Gabby who can't keep a job and has no idea what she wants out of life.  Something that her family makes her very aware of.

Gabby is waiting in the hallway at the college for the acting class Anne-Marie talked her into joining with her when she is startled to see Will Bowen with perfectly messy blond curly hair and green eyes...and her former boss.  The boss who had her fired from the bookstore she really enjoyed working at.  That is until she caught the microwave on fire.  He's teaching the Screenwriter's class at the college.

On her first day as an extra while waiting for Anne-Marie to finish for the day she is checking out the crafts service table to see if they have any more of the cronuts from earlier in the day only to be surprised when Will shows up next to her.  And even more surprised when she finds out he's a writer for the show.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and you literally become part if the story and of their life.  If you have read Megan Walker & Janci Patterson in the past you know that they do not write short stories, so don't expect to read this book overnight.

Another amazing book in this series!  Highly recommend!
