REVIEW - FINDERS KEEPERS by Lily Rose

Nit was part vampire, part elf and a little bit of shade.  Mab was part ghost, part troll and a little bit of genie.  All the monsters in their community are misfits as they don't fit into any particular community.  They were no larger than a bilby and some as small as a Blue Wren.

Nit was late leaving his workshop as he couldn't find the coil he needed to complete the vacuum he was inventing.  He needed to get to the hunting grounds to see if he could find another coil and they were limited on the time they had to be in and out of the hunting grounds and back into the community before the gates closed leaving them unprotected.

Although Nit was part vampire he hadn't been fully turned and could tolerate being awake during the daytime as long as he didn't spend too much time in the direct sunlight and tried to find shade as much as he could and along with his power of shade he was mostly safe from damaging his skin.

Nit raced to hide when he felt a shadow covering him.  It wasn't on his agenda to be taken away by a bird today, but was surprised when it was just Mab holding an umbrella she had made over his body.  Nit was disappointed on his hunt today, but when the whistle blew telling them to return to the gate, Nit tripped over a coil.  Surprisingly, the same type of coil that he was missing.

As Nit was racing to Abbe's to get dinner, he was stopped by several other misfits who were accusing him of stealing their items.  Nit had not taken anything not even taking advantage of their Finders Keepers rule where if you found something outside of the hunting grounds you could claim it as your own.  As some took the rule too far he always made sure that his home was locked up tight.

Now he was being thrown into the blender as punishment awaiting sentencing for a crime he hadn't committed.  But Mab was determined to get to the bottom of the missing items and prove Nit innocent.

This is book two of the ADVENTURES OF THE MISFIT MONSTERS Series and is just as entertaining as book one.  Lily Rose has created a community of small creatures that have to depend on each other because of their miniscule size, but this community is full of misfits and there is a lesson to learn about seeing the positive in everyone despite your differences!

Another great book intended for young readers.
