REVIEW - A PARIS AFFAIR by Mary Oldham

Every day for the last two weeks as Daisy Miller sat in the wonderful French cafe in Portland drinking a cappuccino she watched Mr. Gorgeous arrive at the same time to order his cappuccino and chocolate croissant.  And everyday he would meet her eyes and smile before leaving.

But, today is different.  She is distracted trying to decide if she needs to start sending out more resumes since her current job is ending and what if she doesn't get the job at Stark International Hotels even though she passed the first two interviews?  But, her third and final interview was next week with their CEO Garrison Stark.

She is so distracted remembering getting fired for fighting off the advances of her previous boss's unwelcome advances she doesn't notice him arriving until he is at her table asking to join her.  She looks up in shock unable to speak, but of course, she agrees.

She and Alex have a wonderful time until he needs to leave for an appointment he is going to be late for, but they make plans for dinner that night before he has to leave back for New York tomorrow morning.

Daisy stopped in shock and horror when she arrives for her interview and sees the name plate on the door.  G. Alexander Stark.  What are the chances?  This couldn't be her Alex, but then he turns around and she can't deny what she sees.  And he lied to her.  He had been here the whole time and not in NY.

I absolutely loved this book!  It is very well written and all of the characters are fully developed and relatable.  Alex and Daisy are the perfect example of opposite attract.  He is owns a worldwide hotel chain and she is trying to keep her head over water after being subjected to sexual harassment.

Despite his history of being a rich playboy, it is immediately obvious that he has grown up and left all the wildness behind.  Daisy has major trust issues stemming from her mother's illicit relationship with her dad and feels that she may be following her mom on that hated path.

This book grabbed me from page one and I couldn't put the book down once I began reading.  I laughed, I cried, I shook my head.  This book has tragedy, distrust, romance and is steamy hot.  If you've read her The Silver Linings Wedding Dress Auction you will find this book to have more sexual chemistry and behind the bedroom door scenes which are very sexy.

This book has a HEA, but it definitely takes you for ride of twists and turns.  Highly recommend!
