JJ had been asleep at her desk when she heard a voice. Although familiar she didn't recognize it so she adjusted her position to go back to sleep. She vaguely realized she was making a habit of falling asleep at her desk after spending too long working on her manuscript when she hears the voice again.
When the fog of sleep clears she sees a couple sitting on the loveseat in her home office. Who are these people and how did they get into her house? Then the man comments to his companion that she had been right when she said JJ wouldn't recognize them. The woman replied back that it really was a shame since it wasn't every day that characters like them dropped in.
Then they looked her head on and told her they were Blake Teesdale and Alex Zurich. As she peered at them more closely realization hit her...it wasn't possible...and she fainted.
She listens in amazement as the love interests from the romance novel she is currently writing are telling her that they are there to help her find her own happily-ever-after...with the most sexist, arrogant and ill-mannered man she had ever had the misfortune to meet.
I absolutely loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book grabbed me from page one. I immediately pictured the video Take on Me by a-ha in my mind and couldn't wait to see what chaos these characters were going to make in JJ's life.
JJ had been at the local bookstore browsing the history section when she ran into the sexiest man she has ever laid eyes on and was enjoying their conversation until he comments that he was so glad to see a woman who didn't read the trash written by the romance writer the store was hosting a book signing for. The more he spoke about how only a bimbo would demean themselves the angrier she got.
When a fan approached asking for her autograph, she took great pride in watching his jaw drop to the ground. How Blake and Alex thought he was the man of her dreams boggled her mind.
This book is hilarious and Blake will keep you entertained with his antics. I love how Terry Newman truly brought the characters to life and made them part of the story. I can't wait to read more by Terry Newman. Highly recommend this book!
