Samantha didn't want to be at the frat party but she had to keep an eye on her best friend Kelsey who was determined to finally approach Aidan. She was trying to rationalize with her obviously drunk friend that flashing him was not how she wanted to get his attention.
When she sees Kelsey's over-protective brother Derek enter the front door she sends her to the restroom hoping to get her sober enough to prove to him she was making better decisions and not going home with the first stranger. Luckily a fight broke out and she had a reason to get her friend home without her hooking up using the threat of the police being called.
Samantha is in the kitchen making her famous pancakes, dancing to the music coming from her earphones when something catches her attention and she stares in shock. This could not be happening... the hookup that Kelsey had sneaked in the night before had frozen on his way out the front door.
Byron rarely got out but never passed up a pool party. Near naked women with water glistening on their bodies. His idea of a good time. But he was looking for a bit more of an afterparty kind of girl right now. Someone a bit morally corrupt and knew the deal. Like the girl who slipped him her address before getting pulled away.
As he was sneaking out the next morning his eyes widened in shock... it couldn't be. Sammie, his best friend since childhood - until last year she disappeared without a trace.
I loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Sammie had ran away heartbroken a year ago and had managed to avoid Byron even though they attended the same college. Hiding in plain sight. But now that he has found her he is not letting her go until he finds out why she left without a word.
This book is action-packed and steamy hot from page one. Not only is Sammie keeping the reason she left a secret from Byron, she has another secret that could ruin her future. Highly recommend!
