I loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Evaline had been trained her whole life to be the wife of Kenzo, the head of the Yakuza in the United States. But she was determined to not be a pawn in some sick mafia games. But she isn't the only one against this marriage and someone was determined that she die instead of walking down the aisle.
This book is action-packed, full of danger and suspense, and steamy hot. I didn't think that this author could top Adrian and Vanya's story, but the twist in this story was not what I expected. Can't wait for Vitali's story!
If you like dark romance with gorgeous anti-heroes and feisty women determined to not be controlled, you will absolutely love this series. Although this book has its own HEA these books are intended to be read in order as the characters and underlying backstory are recurring.
Highly recommend!
