***Synopsis***
These books are my true-life love story. We met when I was only 14.
It is a story about first love and how even when it seemed to not be meant to be, something would happen and we would find ourselves together again. When something tragic happens, can they learn to let go of a love that always seemed to prevail, or has destiny set a path for them that’s beyond their control?
What is the sub-genre and trope? Did your characters lead you to this genre or was that decided before the story began?
I always knew my story was unique and that it needed to be written. Everything was decided before.
Are you more character or plot driven?
Character.
With many main and secondary characters, how do you keep them separated in your mind? Do you have a story/vision board above your workspace?
I was lucky to have my diaries from when I was young and was able to use them as a guideline.
I know from previous interviews that characters take on a life of their own. Were any of the characters in this series determined to take their own direction instead of where you initially wanted them to go?
Since it was based on my true life experiences everything fell into place as I wrote.
Are any of the male POVs based on anyone you know?
Yes 100%
Are any of the female POVs based on anyone you know?
Yes 100%
Was there any one character/scene that was harder to write about than the other?
Yes, re-living many of the scenes were really hard to write as it reminds me of things that I wish didn’t really happen.
What is your favorite book in the series?
Destiny, love the reviews that have been written about this particular book.
I know that we aren’t supposed to have “favorites” as far as our children, but seriously, who’s your favorite character and why?
Me, I feel that I was truly able to capture the younger me and what most people do experience with their first loves.
Series question - Who is your favorite couple and why did you decide on their dynamics?
Danny and Cassidy, I think I was able to capture what it was like as a teen and then to continue through the years.
How do you get inside these characters’ heads to find their perfect HEA?
As stated in previous question, I had diaries to completely know what my character felt during that time.
What scene in this book/series sticks out the most for you? Why?
There is a scene when Danny tells Cassidy something really tragic for them both. It was a hard scene to write and to re-live again.
Series - Were any of the books harder to write than others?
No.
How long did it take you to write this book/series?
Too long! Been writing this story since 2015 and have only been able to get two of the books done.
How did you come up with the title for your book and series?
It’s words that were always said relating to my relationship with Danny.
If you met these characters in real life would you get along?
They are real life, so know exactly how everything feels.
Series question – Did you know in advance that you were going to write this as a series or did one of the characters in book one demand their own story?
I always knew it would be a series, too much information and stories for just one book.
If your book/series were made into a movie, which actors do you see as playing your characters?
Luke MacFarlane and Danica McKellar, yes I do love Hallmark movies.
Can you give us a hint as to what we can expect next? Whether a new book and series or a sequel to an existing series? Can you share a small tease?
The ending of book two leaves off with someone being shot. The third book will let you know who was shot and who shot them.
The next one will keep you wondering just how much tragedy one couple can face. Too many important things to give away something huge.
A HEARTFELT ACCOUNT OF A LIFELONG LOVE
Danny and Cassidy meet as teens and fall in love. Their tumultuous relationship brings misery and happiness to Cassidy. The story is told from her perspective and brings the reader into her emotions and trials. Determined and loyal, the once shy girl fights for a love that she cannot let go of. Her belief that Danny is her destiny perpetuates her longtime fight to bring them together.
BASED ON A TRUE STORY
The Second Book in the Forever & Always Series
In book one, Danny and Cassidy met in their teens and fell in love. Their tumultuous relationship brought misery and happiness to Cassidy, until it ended when Danny married someone else.
Book two begins with a glimpse back at how book one ended, followed by a knock at Cassidy's door. Is it Danny? Will Fate allow them to finally be together? With numerous obstacles in her path, Cassidy must make many hard choices. She is determined to keep her first true love in her life.
With a surprise death, betrayals and mountains in their way, can Danny and Cassidy really find a way to have it all, and their once in a lifetime love? Or will Fate give these childhood sweethearts more heartache and tears?
Their True Life story is told from Cassidy’s perspective and brings the reader into all her emotions and trials. You will feel as if you are in the story.
