We left off in book three with Danny's parents finding a gay magazine in his room so now they are planning on sending him to a Catholic reform school and Elle's parents are getting a divorce.
Nina finds out that her dad is not dead as her mother has told her since she was a child and her dead sister is in psychiatric care after losing her boyfriend. But the letters from the Sisters of Quiet Mercy that Nina found hidden in a box in her mother's room lead her to believe even that is a lie.
Adrian is livid. His plans to seek revenge on Nina have been ruined by Gloria and he has to find a way to make things right. Gloria spread the word around school that he had slept with Nina and now she is hiding from him. How is he to get his revenge if Nina isn't even talking to him?
Nina finally makes arrangements to meet with her dad without her mother's knowledge and what she learns rocks her world. And then she finds out after finally allowing Adrian back into her life that he knew all along and was just with her to exact revenge!
I am so in love with this storyline! It is very well written and each book seamlessly blends with more information in the mystery behind Adrian's brother and Nina's sister and all the lies that have been told.
