REVIEW - OF BEASTS AND DEMONS by Mona Black

Mia ran away from home to avenge her cousin who fell into an enchanted sleep.  Growing up in the Church of Angels, Mia had slept on a cot in the basement since she had been adopted at age four.  Beaten and worked to the bone, she finally had the incentive she needed to leave everything behind.

But, changing her name and registering as a student at Pandemonium Academy was an eye opener and she realized her naivety at thinking she could take on these four bullies who had been named in her cousin Lia's diary.

But, she was having a hard time reconciling what was in the diary with the boys she was here to destroy.

I loved this series!  Of Beasts and Demons starts immediately where book one left off.  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.

We were left with a cliffhanger at the end of Of Boys and Beasts where Mia's fake identity is discovered, but she is shocked to find out that her adopted family comes from a line of famous witches.  In order to continue with her plans of vengeance, she needs to keep the information that she is adopted and not a witch from the guys she is here to destroy.

This book is action packed, full of suspense, danger and smoking hot chemistry.  This book is full of twists and turns as Mia tries to avoid the real bullies and her feelings for these boys.  Book one left us with a cliffhanger, but this cliffhanger puts a real twist on this story.  Can't wait to see what happens next!
