Njord is the God of the Sea, of fertility, fishing and wealth and had the power to bring on storms or calm the waters. He was in his merman shape as he followed the behemoth sea creature. The creature was as ancient as all time and was the last of his kind and he followed him because he knew where he was headed.
He was mesmerized as the fair maiden seemed to communicate with this unique creature of the sea. He waited in the shadows waiting for the time he would stand before her as a man because he was determined to have her.
Sassa had just finished her day sharing her visions when a man appeared. She should have been scared but felt safe in his presence. Where her visions had been wisps before his kiss they were now complete and she warned him to beware of the giantesses as he would betray the one he loves. He scoffed at her vision as he didn't have a love and as he walked away she had an uncomfortable feeling that she was the one he would betray.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Another wonderful read from Vanessa Brooks!!!
If you like Norse mythology you will love this book! I love how Vanessa transitions this story from ancient times to the present. This book is full of angst, betrayal and scorching hot sexual chemistry.
This book is action-packed from cover to cover and will keep you turning the pages wanting more. Sassa isn't the innocent girl that she was centuries before and has a few surprises in store for Njord.
Highly recommend this book and can't wait to see what the other Gods in this series have in store for us. If you haven't read Vanessa Brooks this book is a great place to start!
