Beth Evans is trying to figure out how to get the dishwasher door open so she can get her daughter's favorite cup, but mid-cycle it decided to die and the release latch is locked. She has been in a group text with her brothers all morning telling them they aren't allowed to call out her father for being an awful father on Twitter.
She wasn't on Twitter, but her famous dad took every opportunity to appear as the perfect family man as the Secretary of State and in his bid to become the next Vice-President and her seven brothers were not happy.
She knew she could let them know the dishwasher was on the fritz, but she also knew that she'd end up with a leak or a cracked counter. Her husband had died unexpectedly two years ago and his brothers were closer to her than her own family.
Marc Demoda was a baseball player not a repairman, but until he could get back in the game he loved he was helping out his father at Demoda Repairs. His major league pitching career had ended after a car accident had crushed his shoulder and even though he was healed he would never be able to pitch again.
He should have known given his sister's evil grin that he was in trouble. She didn't seem to notice that a professional baseball player was there to fix her dishwasher as she sped through the jungle of toys the whole while keeping children from hitting each other. She didn't seem to be phased by the utter chaos that was seven kids and two yappy dogs.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This has to be my favorite family of all time. We have a full cast of characters and as with any huge family there is utter chaos. These brothers kill me. I love the family dynamics and bantor.
Beth has lived the life under a public microscope and wants nothing to do with a man who thrives on the spotlight. Marc grew up being told that nothing should come between him and his career.
This book is action-packed from beginning to end and smoking hot. This is the first time I've read anything by Jenni Bara and I will definitely be reading more. Not only did the storyline keep me turning the pages, but she draws you into the lives of this huge family and you never want to leave.
