REVIEW - MORE THAN A HERO by Jenni Bara

Morgan Johanson was under the bar counter hiding inside the cooler that held beer kegs.  She had texted both of her FBI brothers with both a 911 and SOS message and was trying to keep the fear at bay since they were both ignoring her.  They probably thought her emergency was a clogged sink emergency and not hiding in a fridge because of men barging into the bar with guns drawn emergency.

She questioned the location and never should have agreed to meet her literary agent here even with her boyfriend there to protect her - because he had bailed as soon as the men burst through the doors.  Trying to not have a mental breakdown her mind focused on how she could make this turn into a meet cute moment to use in her next romance novel.

Nick Evans knew he had to answer the phone when he saw his previous commander's name on the screen and tried to concentrate on the here and now and not the reason why he had started NAE Securities.

Nick had left the SEALs after an injury that almost took his life after a land mine exploded in Syria killing most of his team, including his best friend Louis the commander's son.  It had been two years and his brothers knew his PTSD triggers and for the most part he had control until he was asked to protect the commander's daughter and he wasn't able to hide from the past any longer.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.  Although each of the stories in this series revolves around a different brother I highly recommend that you start with book one in order to get the full backstory of this family.

This family is very involved in each other's lives and they are not only recurring characters, but we see the previous couple's story continue.  Growing up in a family of Navy men Nick was the last man Morgan wanted in her life and Nick's past ghosts are almost more than he can handle.  This book has all the feels...you will laugh, be sad and cry, but you won't be able to put it down.

This book is action-packed, full of danger and suspense and smoking hot.  Highly recommend!
