REVIEW - LUKAS, SOMETIMES by Tempest Phan

She left his heart in shatters.  Running into HIS arms.  She had been his obsession for a dozen years.  She apologized for hurting him but it was never him she loved.  He had let her love heal him.  He had trusted her, but in the end, it wasn't him she loved and he would never trust or love again.  He will never be broken again.

Lukas Stone, Viscount Ryding, walked away from everything.  The law firm founded by his father, the Maserati, sold the New York penthouse, he closed the Seattle lake house but kept the seaside bungalow hoping that the pounding waves would take away the pain.

Lily was sitting on the beach, waves crashing into the sand, tears pouring down her face as she mourned what was never to be.  And then a man told her she was trespassing on his private beach and to leave.

I loved this book!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.  Although this is a standalone romance I highly recommend that you start with book one of this series as not only are the characters recurring, but they play an important part in Lukas's story.

This book is just WOW!  Lukas is a man tortured over the past that he can't seem to let go of.  Lily gave up her future to take care of a dying father.  These are two people who would never have met in their social circles, but their sexual chemistry is beyond smoking hot.

This book is action-packed from word one, full of suspense, betrayal, danger and smoking hot scenes.  There are a twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages and wanting more.  This is the first time that I have read Tempest Phan and it won't be the last.  The storyline was gripping and she pulls you into the story and lives of these characters.  I truly hated when the book ended.

Highly recommend!
