Jamie heard her voice called and wished she hadn't looked up when she sees her younger sister Cami waving an embarrassing banner full of glitter and swirls at the arrival gate. Walking away from a steady job to start her own freelance interior design business in her hometown was terrifying but she needed something to excite her and working for someone else wasn't doing it.
And she kept refreshing her computer screen as it was her dream to be on the interior design reality show Interior Nirvana. She was hoping it would be a great jumping point to finding clients.
Daphne was giving Wade grief for the drunken night tattoo he needed her to fix. Why he decided it was a good idea to have a black heart with the letter C in the middle boggled him....oh right he was drunk and lost a stupid bet. And to make it worse he hadn't really been into her that much and they broke up shortly after said tattoo.
Daphne laughed at him and said it would be less painful to find another girlfriend with the letter C. He just shook his head. He was taking over his family's bar and was too busy for a girlfriend. It's been a constant struggle with his dad as he tried to convince him they needed to get a younger crowd into the bar or lose to the competition. If things didn't start getting better he was going to lose employees who had been there for years.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. I love how some of the characters from previous books in The Meet Cute Book Club series made appearances in Jamie and Wade's story. It really helped tie this multi-author series together.
This book is action-packed from page one. This is a small town, rom-com, sister's ex romance. Although Daphne and Wade have known each other for years, it wasn't until she returned home that the sparks started flying. This book is steamy hot and will make you laugh and cry. Although the end of the story had me wanting something more.
Highly recommend.
