Rovos called a meeting to finalize plans of going to the hidden asteroid auction house to find the stolen women. It was the last place a group of humans was seen. He looks at Igid and asks when she and her spaceship the Shade will be ready. She assured him they would be ready the next day.
Then Rovos tells her that she is teamed with Brox to go to the auction house and find out about the buyers and who bought the three women. The last male she wants to be teamed with is Brox, but since her crew has been finding their fated mates he is the only option.
Igid was born in a brothel and sold by her family as a sex slave at a young age. Finally, at eight, her new master was only interested in training her to take over his business as a mechanic...repairing and rebuilding spaceships. After what had been done to her as a child no male has affected her...why does this smug male have to be the one?
I loved this book. It is a mixture of sci-fi and fantasy as not all the characters are fully human. It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.
Igid has a hard shell and only allows a select few get close to her. She is a strong woman trained in armed combat and is not happy with her feelings for Brox. Brox was mesmerized by Igid and her light blue skin the moment he first laid eyes on her. He is determined for her to see he can be trusted and would never hurt her.
This book is action-packed and full of danger from page one as they set out to rescue the women and the storyline and suspense kept me turning the pages. It is full of action and suspense and smoking hot. This sci-fi fantasy revolves around sex trafficking, violence and sexual content not appropriate for younger readers.
Highly recommend this book. This is the first time I have read Deysi O'Donal and I will definitely be reading more from her in the future.
