AUDIOBOOK REVIEW - SMALL TOWN, BIG RUMOR Duet by Willow Winters

She was devastated.  Her high school sweetheart had broken up with her without giving her a reason and to make it even more painful...he broke up with her over a phone call.  She felt nothing but bitter betrayal.

Robert had waited until she left their hometown of Beaufort SC to go to the University of Delaware before he dropped the bomb.  Instead of wallowing in her room getting drunk alone she decided she was going to follow the age old rule about getting over someone...so she heads to a bar near campus for some revenge sex.

He tasted like Tequila.  She told him her name was Rose.  It was supposed to be one night to get over her boyfriend.  One night that ended way too soon, but she left with more than a memory.

I loved this duet!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.  This duet is narrated by Lidia Dornet & Sebastian York and I loved listening to them bring this story to life.  Sebastian portrayed both Brody and Robert's POVs in this duet and I loved listening to his soothing voice.  Both narrators did an excellent job bringing these characters and their personalities to life.

Magnolia annoyed me at times.  Her relationship with Robert was complicated, but I wanted to slap her a few times to snap out of it.  This love triangle romance is action packed and has tons of wonderful secondary characters.

The suspense of wondering who Magnolia would choose kept me listening for more and I am very happy with her choice.  There are secrets, lies and misunderstandings and a storyline that will have you turning the pages.

This is definitely a book club worthy duet as there is plenty I could say about this book and its characters, but more in a discussion type conversation.  Highly recommend!
