SYNOPSIS:
Three brothers move to Redemption Hills to escape the harsh reality of their pasts as members of a brutal motorcycle club.
In Redemption Hills they seek new lives and find redemption for the sins they have committed in their pasts.
Each book tells the story of one of the brothers and their journey to find love and peace all while facing the consequences of their choices in their pasts catching up to them.
What is the sub-genre and trope? Did your characters lead you to this genre or
was that decided before the story began?
MC/mafia/romantic suspense – the genre was decided before I began writing it.
Are you more character or plot driven?
Traditionally I more character driven, but I tried to balance these series with both deep characterization and complex plots.
With many main and secondary characters, how do you keep
them separated in your mind? Do you have
a story/vision board above your workspace?
That can definitely be hard, especially in a long series where the characters overlap.
I keep an Excel sheet with a list of all the characters in each book to try to keep details straight.
I know from previous interviews that characters take on a
life of their own. Were any of the
characters in this series determined to take their own direction instead of
where you initially wanted them to go?
Oh my gosh, yes, the first two books in the series I had to start completely over because the characters had grown into different people in my mind.
Are any of the male POVs based on anyone you know?
Not as a whole, but I definitely take bits and pieces of different people I know or have met and weave them into my characters.
Are any of the female POVs based on anyone you know?
I basically do the same as with the male POVs.
Was there any one character/scene
that was harder to write about than the other?
I don’t really think any character or scene stood out as harder to write. There are moments when words don’t come to me and the vibe just isn’t flowing that day, but it’s more so my mood than the being in a difficult scene.
What is your favorite book in the series?
Ah, so hard, but probably Give Me a Reason as it was the first and was where I fell in love with all of the Lawson Brothers.
I know that we aren’t supposed to have “favorites” as far
as our children, but seriously, who’s your favorite character and why?
I would also say Trent from Give Me a Reason. I just love how deliciously rough and dark he is.
Series question - Who is your favorite couple and why did
you decide on their dynamics?
As a total, I would say I loved Jud and Salem the most.
There was something about their dynamic that was just fire. Salem was a bit fiery and Jud was this intimidating teddy bear, and together they gave me all the feels.
How do you get inside these character’s heads to find
their perfect HEA?
It takes me a long time to write a book, so I’m in each character’s head for long periods of time, so I feel that as I go they each evolve and their story becomes clearer and clearer to me.
What scene in this book/series sticks out the most for
you? Why?
One of my favorite scenes I’ve ever written is in Give Me a Reason, and it’s the moment when Eden realizes the adorable little boy who is in her kindergarten class is the son of her jerk new boss at the club where she is working to earn some extra money.
There was just a vibe about this entire scene that I absolutely loved.
Series - Were any of the books harder to write than
others?
No, they were all about the same.
This question is if you write in MULTIPLE POVs not just
the hero and heroine - I love the multiple POVs in a book. It’s not just the hero and heroine, but we
get inside the heads of multiple characters throughout this series. I feel that it gives the story further
depth. Do you think you will write
another book or series following this multiple POV outline?
I’m not sure I would do that, although I do love reading in third person when books are written like that. My stories already delve so deep into the main characters’ psyches that it’s likely it would be too much if it were going on with all the characters.
How long did it take you to write this book/series?
It takes me about five months to write each book.
How did you come up with the title for your book and series?
I was just playing with words and loved the title Give Me a Reason, so I worked to find other titles that would flow with have the same theme.
If you met these characters in real life would you get
along?
I would hope so!
Series question – Did you know in advance that you were
going to write this as a series or did one of the characters in book one demand
their own story?
I did know Redemption Hills would be a series, although I initially only planned it for the three brothers, but there was a special minor character who everyone fell in love with, Tessa McDaniels.
So now Tessa will also get her own book in Promise Me Always.
Can you give us a hint as to what we can expect
next? Whether a new book and series or a
sequel to an existing series? Can you
share a small tease?
Never Look Back is coming August 29th. I absolutely LOVE Logan and Aster’s second-chance romance. This one has pretty heavy mafia vibes, which is something different than I’ve done before.
Here’s a tiny taste:
Say it, Aster. Say it and fucking mean it.”
It didn’t take much to understand what he meant.
What he needed.
And I knew it was my truth.
My spirit gave as my hands fisted the lapels of his jacket, and the words flooded from my mouth on my own plea. “I love you, Logan Lawson. I love you. I am yours. Today, tomorrow, and yesterday. Forever. I’m yours.”

A single-dad, enemies-to-lovers stand-alone romance about a jaded club owner and his son’s teacher…
Eden Murphy came into my club looking to make some extra cash.
A girl like her didn't belong in a place like this.
She'd get ripped to shreds.
Most likely by me.
There's nothing but sweetness dripping from her sexy little body, and I'm the monster who's salivating to get a taste.
Trent Lawson is the last man I should want.
Dark.
Dangerous.
So wickedly gorgeous he makes my knees weak.
He's also an arrogant jerk who happens to be my new boss.
When I discover his adorable son is also in my kindergarten class, I know I have to keep my distance.
But neither of us can ignore the attraction that flames.
One glance, and our hearts race.
One touch, and we’re aching for what we can’t have.
One night, and we’re falling fast.
Dragging her into my sordid world is wrong.
It doesn’t matter.
Eden Murphy is mine.
Jud Lawson found me stranded in the rain.
Broken down on the side of the road in a deserted neighborhood with my piece of crap car.
I wasn’t looking for a hero, and definitely not one who looks like him.
An obscenely hot, mountain-of-a-man who screams danger.
But I have little choice other than climbing onto the back of his bike.
One look at Salem Aguilar, and I’m hooked.
The girl is devastation wrapped in a black, seductive bow.
A knockout.
A dream.
Turns out, she needs a job, and I need the help.
Now I have a vixen strutting around my shop, and I’m the fool who’s itching to reach out and take what he can’t have.
But neither of us can ignore the burning attraction.
The fire that leads to a kiss.
A kiss that has us falling into my bed.
The connection that has me wanting the one thing I’d never thought I could have again.
Because monsters like me don’t deserve love.
Only Salem has a secret, too.
She’s been running for years, and her past just caught up to us…
