REVIEW - A LAIR SO FATEFUL by Zoey Ellis

Uraya was a Warden to the Queen of the southern territory.   When Oshali entered the southern territory to complete her mission for the Mehya Guardians, she had no idea that the Queen was her aunt and only living heiress.  When the Queen found a tracker had been put on Oshali by the hated Dragori, she had Oshali imprisoned and planned to forcefully have her impregnated to continue their line.

Uraya had been in service to the Queen since she was fifteen years old and it was realized that she could feel magic giving the Queen an advantage over the King of the northern territory.  Their war against each other had been going on for decades and even though they have decimated the lands with their magic each was determined to be the winner and rule both territories.

Uraya agreed to help Oshali escape the Queen's imprisonment in exchange for rescuing her friend from the Queen's clutches.  As they are escaping Oshali doubles over in pain and loses her concentration in her casting spell and as they fall to certain death she is surprised when she is caught mid-air by a strong arm and deposited on the back of a dragon.

Another great book is this series!  It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.  Sethorn is enraged when I'mya invites Uraya to stay in his brother Nyro's lair as it is he who saved her and according to their rules now his property.  He hated even more when he had to promise that Uraya be treated as a guest.

But, Sethorn was determined to get his way and had a Mehyu Guardian record an agreement between him and Uraya.  His help rescuing her friend Tivv from the Queen of the southern territories in return for Uraya agreeing to his terms.  A contract bound by magic.

Of all of the women in this series, Uraya is the most knowledgeable on the magic being used against the King & Queen's own people and the danger their magic will have on the last of the dragorai.  Sethorn is determined to bypass their agreement and Uraya is just as determined to rescue Tivv and leave Sethorn's lair.

This book is full of action, danger and intrigue.  This series is very dark and may be offensive to some so if you have issues with alpha men who are determined to have their way no matter what it may not be your type of book.  This book is highly erotic and smoking hot.  As great as this series has been to date, I am so looking forward to Khyros's story.  The suspense leading up to his book has been wonderful and Zoey Ellis has given us no clues to the location of his missing dragon.

Highly recommend!
