REVIEW - A LAIR SO PRIMAL by Zoey Ellis

Elora was being summoned by Master Nyro.  She followed Dayatha not understanding.  Although she had originally joined the lair to be one of Master Nyro's kon'ayas she had yet to meet him.  He hadn't summoned anyone in months. Their lives had all changed when I'mya who arrived with Elora's  group was found to be his mate.

Kon'aya are those who served as bed companions for the dragorai.  Knowing his obsession with I'mya she knew he wasn't looking for a bed partner so she was nervous about what to expect.

When she arrived at Nyro's chambers she was relieved when she saw I'mya but further confused when the steward started translating.  She was asked if she knew how the Forbidden Mountains had received its name.  When she replied it was to keep anyone from trespassing on the Dragorai territory.  The mountains and ocean stood between the Twin Realms Each of the five brothers had their own mountain range.  Anyone who crosses into their territory belongs to them to do as they please.  Take into their lair, hunted or worse.

Then he explains that his trackers had found she had crossed another dragorai 's territory before reaching her meeting destination to join his kon'aya.  She pales when he tells her that his brother Zendyor is demanding her return since she arrived in his territory first.

Zendyor - the most dangerous of the brothers.

I loved this book!  Although this book could be read as a standalone this series is interconnected and I suggest reading the series in order to get the full story.  This book is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.

Elora knew the rules and but all she could think of was getting to safety from the ravages of war and the threats made by one of the seven goddesses.  Zendyor was enraged that someone was able to get through his territory and escape the notice of his dragon not only denying him the pleasure of the hunt, but the answer to how she managed to avoid detection.

This book is action-packed from page one.  It is full of suspense, danger and intrigue.  I love how one by one these dragorai are finding their mates even though for centuries they thought all of the dragorai females were dead and there being no more female dragons since the lower-mortals had killed them all to obtain their magic.

Zoey Ellis has brought this dark fantasy romance to life with her larger than life dragons and these brutal men who are the last of their kind due to being decimated by the lower-mortals.  If you love dark romance this is definitely the series for you!  It is steamy hot, highly erotic and the most carnal of the series yet.
