Kat was a PA in an active emergency room and needed a break from the night terrors that were disrupting her sleep. When one of the doctors gave her a small prescription for a sleeping pill she was finally getting the sleep she needed but was now having very erotic dreams.
These dreams would have been no reason for concern, but Kat would wake up wearing clothes that she didn't go sleep in and thought she was losing her mind.
Nick had changed his on-call hospital to get away from the gossip of his divorce. Unfortunately, he still ran into his previous best friend, who he caught sleeping with his ex-wife, periodically when he was called in for an emergency that may need surgery.
Nick was not interested in a relationship, but couldn't seem to get the feisty Kat out of his mind.
This is book two of The Deprivation Trilogy and it starts where book one left off. This book hit all of my emotions. When Kat finds out that her dreams were not actually dreams she starts spiraling trying to deal with a possible stalker.
I absolutely love this series! LM Fox has written a movie worthy story. I laughed, I cried. Kat's reactions to the sleeping pills are hilarious...until they aren't. You can feel Kat's fear and loss of control which is further complicated by her attraction to Nick and not wishing to bring her crazy into a relationship. And if Kat's life doesn't have enough issues, she finds out life altering information.
I highly recommend this book. It is action-packed from cover to cover, full of suspense and tons of smoking hot sexual content! There is so much to say about this book, but they would all be spoilers.
The book doesn't leave you with an OMG cliffhanger, but does leave you with questions and the knowledge that this story is not finished. Can't wait to see how Kat regains control of her life!
