REVIEW - HOT TO THE TOUCH by Joanna Rose

Chelsea was so glad to be back in the office after a month of mandatory medical leave.  She was a literary agent and had been kidnapped and tortured for hours by crazed fans of one of her clients.  After nine hours of catching up on manuscripts she headed home for her bed.  Until she approached the fire department and realized she hadn't thanked the man who had saved her life.

Redmond Donovan, the firefighter who threw her, still tied to the chair, out of the fire as he struggled with her abductor.   As she looks at him she realizes that he has the most gorgeous turquoise eyes that she had thought were much darker.  She tries to get him to have dinner or meet for coffee so she can properly thank him, but he says a verbal thank you is all that's needed.  He just remained stoic and stone-faced as he told her no.  Just, no.

Redmond watched as Chelsea walked away.  If the circumstances were different she was definitely his type, but he couldn't take the chance that her "white-knight syndrome" would fade.  He couldn't do that to his daughter again.

I loved this book.  It is a definite tear-jerker.  This book is very well written and the characters are amazing.  The storyline kept my attention and I was unable to put the book down.

Chelsea is amazing and even after her ordeal, she is managing through therapy.   Redmond on the other hand has multiple layers of PTSD coming from different sources.  This author drew me into their story and I could feel his struggle for normalcy.   Kaitlyn and her love of plants.

This book has smoking hot sex, sexy firefighters, awesome relationships, suspense, and danger.  I will definitely be looking for more books by Joanna Rose.
