AUDIOBOOK REVIEW - THE BODY PAINTER by Pepper Winters

Olin needed a job...badly.  She had been out of work for over two months and now only had 497 pounds in her account with her rent and utilities due this week.  She was only days from homelessness when she saw the advertisement.  Master of Trickery the famed body painter needed a living canvas.

Olin jumped at the opportunity.  Fate had taken away her dreams of dancing and having applied everywhere and for any job available and having no luck she was hoping that her luck was finally changing.  Until she arrived at Master of Trickery and saw a face from her past.  A face of the boy she had given her heart to.  A boy who had broken her heart had turned into a furious man who was now telling her that she needed to leave and never to return.

OMG!  First off, let me warn you that this book is part one of a duet and will not only not leave you with a happily ever after it leaves you with the most gripping cliffhanger I have ever seen!!!

This book is action-packed and so full of intrigue and suspense you can't help but continue with the story.  And let me tell you listening to this story in the dual narrative of Will M. Watt & Felicity Foster will keep you from getting any sleep until the last word.

The sexily deep raspy voice of Will M. Watt fully embodies Gil's pain, rage and desolation.  Add to the already sexy timbre of his voice an English accent and gah...  You can hear all the emotions of Gil's tortured soul as the story travels back on memories of the past that led him to the man he has no choice but to be in the present.

Felicity Foster brings Olen to life with all her life and energy and determination to see the good in everything...even when evidence shows that she shouldn't be so trusting.  I especially love the dual narrative where even if there are chapters of individual POV they continue speaking as their character throughout.

This is the first time listening to narrators with an English accent and besides being enthralled with the accents it reminds you that this story takes place outside of London.  This book is full of danger, violence, triggering sexual content and so smoldering hot.

There is so much I could say about this story, but most would be a spoiler, but this is the most suspenseful story I have read (really heard) and I can not only express how much I enjoy Gil and Olen's story, but these narrators are the perfect voices to tell their story.
