SYNOPSIS:
Molly finds her passion in hospitality. She decides to travel to Germany and finish her internship in one of the most elite hotels in the country. During her internship she faces challenges of being an outsider, discrimination, crazy working hours and tough colleagues.
When she feels at her lowest point she hangs to her friendship with her roommate, Jiana. At an unexpected turn, she meets a mysterious man, who not only brightens her days, but changes everything during her few months in Germany.
Will Molly finish the internship and fight for her passion for the industry and the man she loves, or she will fail to get both? Can you get both? Is that the key to true happiness?
What is the sub-genre and trope? Did your characters lead you to this genre or was that decided before the story began?
Young Adult book, romance novel. Genre was always known before the characters.
Are you more character or plot driven?
Plot driven.
With many main and secondary characters, how do you keep them separated in your mind? Do you have a story/vision board above your workspace?
I use a vision board to show them with notes about them and separated story lines for each character which I try to follow throughout the book
Are any of the female POVs based on anyone you know?
Yes.
Was there any one character/scene that was harder to write about than the other?
Yes, some that were in some ways personal scenes where harder not only to write, but to actually accept that that happened.
I know that we aren’t supposed to have “favorites” as far as our children, but seriously, who’s your favorite character and why?
Molly, the main character. She is absolutely my favorite.
Series question - Who is your favorite couple and why did you decide on their dynamics?
I like the couple from my second book, The Vow – Brian and Tess. Their story was very cute and lovable.
How do you get inside these character’s heads to find their perfect HEA?
With opening their thoughts and story in depth it was the only was to understand who they are what I would like to do with them
What scene in this book/series sticks out the most for you? Why?
The way Thomas treated Molly.
It was something that I have experienced in my life and it opened up closed wounds that were painful and the feeling of being treated like trash is dreadful. It was one of the most personal scenes in the book that I shared from my experience.
Series - Were any of the books harder to write than others?
The Promise, my first book was the hardest as it was a dedication and in some way a personal emotional therapy for me to write after a painful death in the family.
How long did it take you to write this book?
4-5 months usually and a month of hard editing then.
How did you come up with the title for your book?
Inspired by my brother-in-law. He was doing the cover and based on the story we came up with it together.
If you met these characters in real life would you get along?
Definitely.
Series question – Did you know in advance that you were going to write this as a series or did one of the characters in book one demand their own story?
No. My inspiration comes in a random minute and I never know what will be the very end of story.
Can you give us a hint as to what we can expect next? Whether a new book and series or a sequel to an existing series? Can you share a small tease?
I would like to publish another on by the end of this year or beginning of 2023. Similar romance novel, located in Italy, but this time about a winery. The rest you have to wait and see.
