So here she is going to the servants' entrance to wait for him to get home. As she gets closer she sees a very tall boy sitting on the steps with a violin. Colin Fairgood is the housekeeper's son, but goes to the same school as Mike and is in the Alabama Youth Symphony. His skinny stork like height and glasses make him look like a geek.
It's years later and a lot has changed since she was 15. Her mother had moved to California after Keira refused to play guitar on stage with her. After the one and only disaster, she would never step on a stage again.
She is watching TV at her grandmother's house when she stares in shock. Not only is he now a famous country music singer, but there is no way anyone would know that the drop-dead gorgeous man on stage had been the boy she met briefly on the back stairs at Mike's home.
Another wonderful book narrated by Clementine Dove. I love these characters. Keira loves singing, playing guitar and writing music, but refuses to step on stage again. And then Colin offers her a dream job, only she is keeping secrets. Secrets that could destroy everything.
This book is action packed from start to finish. There may parts that could be construed as unconcentual, although she had an option to safeword out and refused. This book is highly erotic and Clementine Dove has done another amazing job bringing this story to life.
I love love Clementine's depiction of Keira's grandmother. Boy the attitude and cackle! If you haven't read Theodora Taylor before she writes a little on the dark side with rough Russian alpha males and strong black women. Her books may trigger some so beware. And I always enjoyed listening to Clementine Dove!
