After a few more seconds, he tips his forehead to the door behind me.
“I should go,” he says roughly. He takes a step closer, reaching for the handle, but I don’t move my hand from the doorknob.
When his palm touches mine, it’s a chemical reaction.

I shudder. “Grant.” His name comes out full of unchecked heat.
