Captain Adanya Mbwana's ship, the SEA FALCON, was under attack and when she refused to abandon her ship her quartermaster conked her on the head and loaded her into bateau. She wakes up battered and seeing a schooner heading her way. She can't believe her eyes when she realizes that her rescuer is none other than Dominic Bold.
This story is a bit different from A WICKED SEA and A MORE WICKED SEA in that there wasn't violence. The story flipped from current to memories of the past making the time span only a few days. I would have liked to have gotten to know Adanya and Dominic more, but it was a good book.
