REVIEW - DANGER IN SHADOW by Tessa Carr

Laurie was glad that the guy at the next table was amused by her date because she was not.  How did her friends think this would be a good blind date?  The guy couldn't keep from talking about himself.  If only the gorgeous amused guy was her date.

When the waitress came to drop off their check and fortune cookies she wondered why the obviously blonde girl was wearing a black wig.  When she opened her fortune cookie instead of being the normal typed strip of paper there was a handwritten note saying "take cover..." just as bullets started to fly.

Nick's friend's wives have been trying to set him up with Laurie for ages, but he told them he had to meet her first.  So here he is watching in amusement as she tries to get through an awful blind date.  Luckily, he heard her tell her date the fortune cookie contents and dove to get her out of harm's way.

I absolutely loved this book!  The storyline kept me turning the pages and the ending was an absolute surprise.  The chemistry between Nick and Laurie is smoking hot.  My next cat is definitely going to be a Maine Coon!

This book is action from cover to cover and I can't recommend it enough!  Will definitely be reading more by Tessa Carr!
