REVIEW - FORBIDDEN MISTAKE Boxset by Summer Brooks

BOOK ONE:
Zander hated that he was having to go to a nightclub.  He hated the noise and all the drunkenness.  But, he'd do it to celebrate his best friend's birthday even though he wasn't a drinker.  That is until he saw his friend's sister - his ex-girlfriend.  Good time to get drunk.  Did he just offer her a job?

This book had me laughing.  Zander's restrictions and rules for his employees were hilarious.  Love Danielle and Zander's story.  I couldn't put this book down and read it in a day.  Highly recommend!

BOOK TWO:
Heather was Zander's assistant and was looking forward to moving up in the company until she was left alone to raise a child on her own.  So she moves in with a friend and works from home using her psychologist degree.  Unfortunately, she might kill her friend whose one-night stands are keeping her awake at night.

When her best friend Bradley offers her and her son a place to stay until she can find a place of her own she accepts.

You feel Brad and Heather's chemistry immediately even though they both try to deny their feelings.  I really loved this story.  The emotions jump off the page and you feel part of the story.  The characters are amazing and the storyline flows seamlessly.  I highly recommend this book.

BOOK THREE:

Jessica is a divorced mom and her parents secretly signed her up on a dating app.  Arthur is finalizing his divorce and signed up on the MeetMe app for female companionship trying to forget that his work visa expires in 12 months.

When he sees Jessica's profile he is intrigued why she would put her email address and phone number on the site.  They begin texting each other and finally agree to meet for drinks and are surprised when they realize they know the same people and he had danced with her sister at a friend's engagement party.  Well, the surprises don't end there.

This book is smoking hot!  The chemistry between Arthur and Jessica is hot from the start.  I love all the characters and Jessica's boss may be a jerk, but his interference in her and Arthur's life makes him more human.

I highly recommend this book and love Summer Brooks more with each of her books that I read.

BOOK FOUR:
Emma hated Christmas and couldn't believe that her brother was blackmailing her to join a treasure hunt.  And to make sure that she played, the prize was family Christmas ornaments that she thought were lost in the fire that took everything, including their parents.

Gordon is an NFL Quarterback known for his temper and playboy lifestyle and the last person his best friend wants near his sister.

I love this book.  Gordon is so full of himself, but you still love him.  This book is steamy hot and at times funny.  I died at this...""Alright," I relented.  "But I'm not wearing one of your reindeer sweaters.  Roger could look like a human stable all he wants.  I'm not going down with him."

BOOK FIVE:
Sheila and Sylvester have known each other from childhood.  She was his first kiss.  He broke her heart when he left to make a mark in the world telling her she had no part in his future.

Sylvester was now one of the richest men in the country who went through women like socks.  All he wanted was power and then more power and to conquer the world one pair of panties at a time and drink himself stupid.

This is a great book.  From the beginning, you get a feel for their hatred for each other due to the past.  Her snarky remarks are hilarious and he is beyond a jerk.  Highly recommend.
